Proper forest management, including planned timber harvesting, is the most effective way to ensure healthy woodlands for the future while substantially increasing the income generated from your property.

1.  Timber Appraisals - Knowing the value of your timber is very important. Most landowners do not have the ability to identify the value of their timber resources. At AWC we can appraise the value of your timber based on a 100% cruise or by a statistical cruise. The method chosen depends on the size of the land parcel and other factors such as the reason for the appraisal.( timber sale, land sale, land purchase, value basis of taxes etc.)
 
2.  Timber Sale Administration - If you are looking to market timber we will help you receive the absolute highest dollar based on current markets, while managing your timber based on your current and future goals for the property.

          This service includes:

	Marking timber/pulpwood to be sold
	Develop a prospectus describing the property, timber to be sold and conditions or contingencies included in the sale.
	Obtain competitive bids for the timber. This is very important. Obtaining bids from the right markets in a competitive fashion can easily pay for the entire service.
	Develop a soil erosion and sedimentation control plan. AWC will also work with local officials when required to obtain stream crossing permits, access permits, etc.
	Develop a contract between the seller and the timber purchaser.
	Hold a performance bond to insure compliance with the contract.
	Oversee the harvesting operation. We make sure that the crew cutting the timber uses directional felling techniques and cuts only the timber designated prior to the sale.
